Hey there - Ive been posting consistently for 57 days and wanted to document some thoughts on what Ive learned from reviewing my analytics. 57 days is a good start and still a small sample size but in the beginning my main focus was just being consistent. Now I want to shift toward figuring out whats actually working and cut the steps or ideas that are not.

If you look at my social pages it might seem a little all over the place. One day its food content the next its travel and sometimes something completely random. I realized I needed to test what I enjoyed posting most. Turns out I still like both and both are getting decent traction. So I plan to keep mixing it up and maybe even combine the two since food and travel naturally go hand in hand.

Figuring out whats working vs whats not hasnt been as easy as I thought. Some days food posts get solid engagement (right now Im tracking anything above 1k views as a win with ~100–200 followers per platform). Other days they flop. The same exact post might do great on one platform (YouTube, YT Shorts, IG and TikTok) and underperform on another. The same goes for my travel tips and vlogs. So honing in on a real focus will take more time.

YOU ONLY GET 1–2 SECONDS TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION = Having a strong thumbnail and title paired with a strong opening visual whether it shocks, teaches or sparks curiosity is key to grabbing views.

That said a great thumbnail and opening shot only get you so far. I feel like Im hitting a bit of a plateau so Ive been studying other content and taking time to brainstorm new ideas. I dont want to just copy paste what others are doing but I do want to learn.

What Ive been reading and what makes sense to me is this: instead of completely changing the type of content think about how to connect better with the audience while staying true to your own interests. That way you’ll continue to enjoy what you make while attracting likeminded people.

Im still very new to the process but Id love if you followed along on this journey and please share if youve gone through something similar!

Out for now
AJ
